Being Yourself and Loving it: Part 4

Loving who you are

Go With the Flow

Loving who you are means to discover who you are and to admit to yourself who you are. It means figuring out what you want to be and how you want to live your life.

I wanted to work from home and searched for a job I could do from there. There wasn’t anything I wanted more than being at home raising my children. I love being a homemaker, cleaning, cooking, working outdoors, and being on my own doing my own thing. Therefore being at home was ideal for me.

Every job I ever had, I jeopardized in one way or another. This was  because I kept going against what I wanted for myself in life. I finally admitted what I really wanted and started going with the flow, life became a whole lot easier.

It was about giving up wanting nice things for myself. It also meant having to stop believing what society told me I had to have to be a real person. Having the best clothes, a beautiful home full of fancy furniture and all of the rest of it didn’t have anything to do with who I was. It was easy once I realized material things didn’t make me happy.

Go With the Flow

I realized I was happy with a whole lot less and it didn’t diminish me in any way what so ever. It was fun learning to  find ways to allow myself to go with the flow. I always knew when I was going the right direction because I didn’t have to fight every step of the way anymore.

Now I am in a place that I love, the universe has blessed me for recognizing and accepting myself for who and what I am. There are still some things that need to happen before I am completely free. However, I believe it is just a matter of time before that happens.

Getting to Know Yourself

Getting to know yourself also help you to know and to understand others. The faults you see in others, you will see in yourself. Likewise, the beauty you see in others, you will see within yourself.

The more reflections you see, the easier it becomes to love yourself and to love others. You will treat others the way you want to be treated. Plus you will develop develop a sense of humility knowing that you are no more, nor no less than anyone else.

We all Want Basically the Same Things

We all want basically the same things. Such as, love, happiness, health and freedom. We may want them in different degrees and in different ways, but we still want those things.

Eventually, we are also able to see what we want to change about ourselves. And what, in the end, is just fine the way you are. And then begin to accept your weaknesses and your strengths.

You will be more able to love and to be loved. Where once you were afraid to love because you were afraid of getting hurt. You now love because you know that if things don’t work out, it is all for a reason. You may get hurt, however, you know you will heal and you will gain more knowledge about yourself.

Going with the flow is going to make your life much easier. I have personally learned that it is in the times of greatest pain and in times of darkness that I learn the most. Those times have made me stronger and I know myself so much better.

It has helped me to discover my purpose in life, to be the best I can be, and to finally be myself. Not by somebody else’s standards, but by my own.

My hope for you is that you truly learn the meaning of “loving who you are”.
